BEIJING -(Oilnews)- Shell Malaysia is planning to expand its retailing business in the country, increasing the number of its petrol stations to 904 by the end of this year.

Shell Malaysia's Managing Director Mohzani Wahab said here Tuesday that Shell Malaysia will set up 30 new stations, while establishing other 44 ones through acquisition.

Mohzani said that Shell's retail business was expected to improve further with these new petrol stations.

Shell currently has 830 petrol stations in Malaysia. Last year, Shell's net profit declined 51 percent to 258 million ringgit (73.7 million U.S. dollars) due to lower refining margins and volatile crude oil prices.
