BEIJING -(Oilnews)- Crude prices rose Tuesday on strong driving demand in the United States.

Investors have been concerned about U.S. gasoline supplies as domestic refiners strain to meet rising summer demand, said analysts.

Light, sweet crude for August delivery rose 32 cents to 71.41 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

London Brent crude settled 30 cents higher to 72.93 dollars a barrel after rising to 73.10 dollars earlier.
